Get up and Go

Rule Your Roost

To find out how to go get a satisfying life
Now summarized as boring and pulling out strife
Out there you've given freely jumping shelf to shelf
Why not keep a little more peace for yourself?

Taking a trip is the fun whereas on arrival you rock
To go on a smooth cruise pull away from rough dock
Paint yourself up go out be somebody new
Alive on arrival as one of the few with the clue

Volatility strikes with its unenduring ring
When asking for help at the end of your string
To snap and pop forward in passions of heart
Unhappy lives are a good place to start

Attend a bookstore now get some momentum
Read up on how others have been locked in detention
Look around at first don't be afraid to skim and peruse
The finding is the journey with no time afforded to lose

Fantasy and self image are one tricky customer
Take another look this time fuss and muss more
A few misjudgments tilted the wrong way
All add up to a herd of donkeys who bray

Face yourself now and add a lot more cheer
The rocky road of life is what offers you fear
To arrive one day and to see in full view
A pattern of activity once defined as you

Some things beside you act on their own force
With their own directions and no roadmap of course
A flicker from inside you lights your heart
To hear voices of truth outside in the dark

Now you've asked and standing more at the ready
The hearing of a new bell reels a little more steady
A satisfied life sails above for you to soar
Only after you answer the sound at their door

Can beliefs held sacred be solidified as a friend?
When happiness feels like it's only on lend
A new door opens if you act just a bit
At first it only needs you to answer it

How much do you want and how deep is your pride
Taking steps need action but won't let you ride
Old habits have a way of making you think
Something was accomplished on a flash and a blink

Your same old self will stay there in the mirror
After no trip it took because of fear and furor
Not seeing yourself the way others see
Falls onto your shoulder of responsibility

When the bell rings or if somebody knocks
Will you answer or just watch a clock?
If watching time pass as life flies by
Just outside your door never cares why

What you believe as who you are
Holds you in place as if it were Czar
Systems of influence have their say
Only you alone decide to have it your way

Still the door waits through thick and thin
For you to go out not it to come in
You hold it there with the force of push
As massive thoughts and beliefs bum rush

Who you are crosses a great divide
Between who to become and that person inside
Action is the volunteer who is holding the key
Now it's your turn to decide your own legacy

Ask yourself this,"Am I really able?"
To enjoy conversation at confidence's table
Do I possess the needed willpower?
Answer it yes, see a new disposition flower
